Geir Pedersen presented on behalf of Tonje Nesse Forlands the CRIMAC compilation of broadband echosounder test data sets

CRIMAC contributed to the ICES WGFAST meeting

CRIMAC had five contributions to ICES 2025 WGFAST. The meeting was organized by the ICES working group on fishery acoustics, science, and technology (WGFAST), and was hosted by the Marine & Freshwater Research Institute in Iceland. WGFAST is an excellent venue for presenting and discussing topics related to fishery acoustics.

Babak Khodabandeloo presented work on the exact scattering solution for gas- and liquid-filled prolate spheroids across a wide frequency range and all incident angles. A prolate spheroid can represent many marine organisms or their main reflective organ.

Rolf Korneliussen presented the work on improving the signal to noise ratio for the EK80/333-kHz transducer.

Inge Eliassen presented the recent developments in LSSS and Korona.

Ingrid Utseth presented the work on deep learning methods for acoustic target classification

Nils Olav Handegard presented the plans for implementing uncrewed surface vehicles in existing acoustic trawl surveys, focusing on the data infrastructure to remotely work up acoustic data.
