Kongsberg Discovery develops smart solutions for Blue Oceans

Kongsberg Discovery specializes in cutting-edge technology that provides vital insights and key data about life in the oceans and ecosystem conditions. From shallow water wind farms to the deepest oceans, we offer a comprehensive range of systems for precise operation and detailed measurements of the ocean space.

Sustainable use of the oceans is an integrated part of Kongsberg Discovery strategy. Through participation in CRIMAC we aim to further improve our offerings for commercial fishery and marine science and bring new competence into other marine industries such as offshore energy production and aquaculture.

Kongsberg Discovery’s contribution to CRIMAC focus on wideband acoustics, sensors for catch monitoring, and digital infrastructure for machine learning and seamless data flow. Solutions will involve a range of sensor platforms such as standard vessels, uncrewed surface vessels, autonomous underwater vehicles, and stationary observatories.

CRIMAC is a natural extension of previous and existing research-based collaboration with partners in CRIMAC. We believe this collaboration will enable new innovative solutions for sustainable use and management of the oceans.
